Youth Virtual Art Project

Youth Virtual Art Project Kawartha Lakes youth are invited to share their thoughts and concerns on homelessness in our community through their artwork. All selected submissions will be exhibited virtually. This project is in memory of Jessica Joy.

Entry guidelines

  • One entry per artist
  • Artists must be between 14 and 24 years old at the time of submission
  • Only original work in traditional mediums (painting and drawing) will be accepted
  • All submissions must respect the cultural rights of Indigenous Peoples – If Indigenous motifs or designs are used, proof of permission must be provided

Prizes

  • First place: $200
  • Second place: $125
  • Third place: $75

Important dates

  • October 18: Call for entries opens
  • November 30: Call for entries closes
  • December 6: Winners announced
  • December 20: Online exhibition launches
